CWP Europe secures 210 MW in Serbia's renewable electricity auctions for Vetrozelena project

CWP Europe and our Vetrozelena strategic partners Power China Resources, have been awarded 210 MW in the inaugural renewable electricity auctions led by the Government of Serbia and the Ministry of Mining and Energy.

The Vetrozelena project with total capacity of 300 MW met the bidding requirements and secured 210 MW in the auction.

CWP Europe’s CEO Dimitar Enchev said on the occasion:

We extend our gratitude to the Serbian government for entrusting us with the responsibility of delivering low-cost green electricity through the Vetrozelena project."

CWP’s Vetrozelena wind farm, consisting of 48 turbines, has a planned installed capacity of 300 MW. The project’s electricity output will reduce CO2 emissions by around 820,000 tons every year and supply more than 185,000 households with green electricity. Vetrozelena wind farm will be the largest wind power plant in the country upon its completion in 2025.
