Fantanele-Cogealac Wind Farm (600 MW) reaches Financial Close; largest onshore wind farm in Europe at the time

CWPR established in 2009, exited in 2022 as the largest RES platform in Australia

Successful completion of first PV plant (5 MW) in Bulgaria.
The 600MW Fântânele-Cogealac project (the largest onshore wind farm in Europe) is fully operational.

The Boco Rock Wind Farm, CWP Renewables’ first Australian project, begins operation.


Cibuk-I (158 MW) begins operations – Biggest onshore wind park in Serbia at the time.

Renewed focus on SEE. CWPE established with a 1.4 GW pipeline across Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia.

CWP Europe renews activity in Serbia and Bulgaria, establishes new offices in Romania and Ukraine.  

Commodities trading giant Mercuria joined CWP Eruope.

CWP expands into four more markets in SEE – Albania, Moldova, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Team grows to more than 90 people.

Our team grows to more than 120 people as we estbablish CWP Europe as the leading renewable energy develeoper in the SEE region.
